You Showed Up. Now What? Putting Your Confidence Toolkit to Work Every Week

Can we just take a moment to acknowledge something?

You showed up. Whether you were in the masterclass last week, or you’ve been reading along all month, or you stumbled on this post at exactly the right moment — you’re here. You’re thinking about this. You’re doing the work.

That matters more than you probably realise.

The default for most people is to keep doing what they’ve always done. To stay comfortable and frustrated in equal measure. To think ‘I should really do something about this’ and then not do it. You’re not doing that. And that counts for a lot.

But now what?

The danger of the post-insight dip

Here’s something I see a lot. Someone has a breakthrough — in a session, a workshop, a conversation, a podcast that hits at exactly the right time. Everything feels clear. They feel energised. They know exactly what they need to do differently.

And then Monday happens. And the meeting happens. And the inner critic shows up right on cue. And the clarity starts to feel a bit distant.

This is normal. This is not failure. This is how change works. The insight is the beginning, not the destination.

Making the toolkit stick: three practical things to do this week

REVISIT YOUR INNER CRITIC AND INNER CHAMPION

Write down the name you gave your inner critic. Write down what your inner champion sounds like — the advice it would give you, the tone it uses, the things it knows about you that the critic ignores. Keep this somewhere you’ll actually see it. Phone notes, a Post-it, the back of a notebook. Naming these things gives them reality outside your head.

PICK ONE MOMENT THIS WEEK TO USE THE THREE-SECOND RULE

Just one. One meeting, one conversation, one moment where you’d normally hesitate — and instead you speak within three seconds of having the thought. Don’t aim for a transformation. Aim for one moment. Stack those moments and you’ll look back in three months barely recognising your old patterns.

TELL SOMEONE WHAT YOU’RE WORKING ON

Accountability is wildly underrated. Tell a colleague, a friend, a coach — anyone — that you’re actively working on showing up differently. You don’t have to go into detail. Just saying it out loud to another person makes it more real, and more likely to stick.

And if you want more support…

One hour in a masterclass can start something. Sustained coaching is what builds it into something permanent.

If you’re ready to go deeper — to work through your specific blocks, your specific context, and build a real plan for showing up the way you know you’re capable of — I’d love to talk.

My free 60-minute Foundation Session is exactly that: a proper, focused conversation about where you are, where you want to be, and what’s genuinely getting in the way. No generic advice. No ‘just believe in yourself.’ Real work.

Spaces are limited, and they go quickly after the masterclass. If you’re curious, now is the time.
